Opera Kelowna presents LA VIE BOHÈME A screening of "RENT" in support of Opera Kelowna

Celebrate the season with a unique night out.

Jonathan Larson’s groundbreaking 1996 rock musical was made into a film in 2005, thus continuing the robust tradition of adapting Giacomo Puccini’s world-famous opera La Bohème. In support of Opera Kelowna’s upcoming production of the opera next August, we invite you to take in the musical it inspired!

Enjoy delicious refreshments, and a musical welcome from the inimitable singer and Rent-enthusiast Melina Schein. Then join host Rosemary Thomson and the Opera Kelowna team for a screening of Rent. Attendees will also have an on-site opportunity to donate to Opera Kelowna (CRA number 891 581 448) in a game-like setting in the lobby.

Seating is general admission.

Singing along is welcome but 100% optional (we invite enthusiasts to sit at the front).

Taking a breath this busy holiday season to experience the humour, compassion, and beauty of rent is highly recommended.

Donations will be gratefully accepted on site.
