Raised in Milwaukee, he blends Delta blues traditions with modern influences, exploring themes of struggle, identity, and resilience. His powerful performances have taken him to renowned stages, including Newport Folk Festival and SXSW, and he has toured in support of artists like Drive-By Truckers and Houndmouth, bringing his soul-stirring sound to audiences worldwide.

Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne is a seven-time Maple Blues Award-winning and JUNO award-winning boogie-woogie blues pianist. His smooth yet robust piano playing, and cool and soulful vocals are injected into a canon of original tunes that can take his audience on quite the journey. With Wayne in the driver’s seat, it’s always about preparing for a multi-faceted ride, as the musical terrain can shift quickly thanks to a plethora of influences. After leading the School of Blues music night at the RCA for many years, he currently resides in Calgary where he works on numerous musical projects.
