DERRIC STARLIGHT AND DALLAS ARCAND



DerRic Starlight is a comedian, puppeteer, writer, and director who has spent his life performing with puppets. From writing plays and filming wrestling shows as a teen to training at The Second City Toronto and Starr Theater in Arizona, DerRic honed his craft across North America. He got his start on North of 60 at 17 and has since spent over 25 years entertaining audiences through live shows and film. A Gemini Award winner for his voice work on Wapos Bay, he recently fulfilled a lifelong dream by training and performing with The Jim Henson Company on Fraggle Rock (Apple TV).

Dallas Arcand is now a four-time world champion hoop dancer, multidisciplinary artist, and cultural ambassador from Alexander First Nation, Alberta, Canada. With over 30 years of experience, he has dedicated his life to preserving and promoting Indigenous culture through dance, music, and storytelling.

Arcand is a proud Cree from Alexander First Nation in Alberta, Canada, and delivers breathtaking performances that captivate audiences young and old. His intricate choreography, combined with his ability to weave storytelling and cultural symbolism into his dance, set him apart in a highly competitive field. Arcand’s performances demonstrate true agility and perseverance while showcasing the evolution of hoop dance as a dynamic and living Indigenous art form.
